Throughout the STEP year and beyond, Stanford and the GSE have a variety of resources to support your journey as a teacher candidate and educator. Below are a few often-requested resources.
Career resources
Stanford EdCareers is the Graduate School of Education’s career resources office, focused on education sector career opportunities. For alumni and the wider education community, EdCareers serves as a hub for professional learning opportunities offered by the GSE.
BEAM stands for Bridging Education, Ambition, and Meaningful work, and is the career center for all Stanford undergraduate and graduate students. BEAM offers support with defining career direction, resume writing, enhancing interview skills, and job searches, and also hosts career fairs.
Credentialing and accreditation
California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is the state agency that oversees standards for teacher preparation and licensing and credentialing of educators in the state. Visit their website to learn more about credentialing requirements.
