Provenance logo

Provenance is a place-based tool that helps you think like a historian. While history is often taught in names, dates, or events, historians first put them in context. That is, they understand the past by reconstructing and connecting the world around them. Anchored around self-guided tours or pinned sites, Provenance provides learners a framework for contextualization and scaffolds the process of asking questions to uncover the past. Learners then get an opportunity to apply context to the historical places in front of them. Take a walk through the past and reconstruct the world at each stop!
