2025 Career Outcomes

Stanford GSE graduates are highly sought after for positions in a wide range of industries and education settings in the U.S. and around the world. Our graduates go on to leadership positions in schools and universities, government, industry, education non-profits and philanthropies, ed tech, and more.

Each year, Stanford GSE gathers data about graduating students and publishes a profile of the class and their career plans.

 

Class of 2025

The Class of 2025* included a total of 161 graduate students – 25 doctoral and 136 master’s students. We know the employment status** of 97% of these graduates.

In addition, 42 Stanford undergraduates earned an education minor or honors.

Doctoral graduates

We know the employment status of 96 percent of the 25 PhD graduates who completed their degrees in 2024-25. 

These included graduates from the areas of: Curriculum and Teacher Education (CTE), Developmental and Psychological Sciences (DAPS), and Social Sciences, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary Policy Studies in Education (SHIPS). 

Students who participated in cross-area specializations of Learning Sciences and Technology Design (LSTD) and Race, Inequality, and Language in Education (RILE) are represented in their primary programs of study (DAPS, CTE, or SHIPS).
